The Project is focused on elucidating novel insights in human health and behavior, and will involve following the life tracks of some 10,000 New York City residents over the course of 10-20 years. Like the Framingham Heart Study or Human Genome Project for their respective fields, this new interdisciplinary initiative will unlock discoveries in the field of human health and behavior and transform our understanding of human nature. In addition to providing researchers in many different fields an opportunity to conduct basic science research, the study will also have a long-term goal of translating research results into improved evidence-based public policies.
During the town hall we will provide drinks and dinner while Dr. Glimcher explains our vision for the project, followed by an open discussion between audience members and the project’s leadership. The success of this initiative depends on input from the neuroeconomics community, and we hope you will join us for what promises to be a fun and enlightening evening!
