Mark Leslie is a successful retired entrepreneur and active member of the Silicon Valley community. He teaches courses in entrepreneurship, ethics, and sales organization. Mr. Leslie was the founding Chairman and CEO of Veritas Software, where he grew the company to 5,500 employees and a revenue base of $1.5 billion per year. In 2000, Veritas was the 10th largest independent software company by revenue. Prior to founding Veritas, Mr. Leslie served as President and CEO of Silicon
Valley high-‐‑tech startups Synapse Computer Corp. and Rugged Digital Systems. He also serves on the boards of a number of privately held high-‐‑technology corporations, including Big Switch, Nutanix, Liquid Robotics, Model N Software, Proxim Data, Pure Storage, Skybox Imaging, Sugar CRM. In addition, he serves on the NYU Board of Trustees, the NYC Board of Overseers, and is the Chairman of the NYU Science Advisory Board. Mr. Leslie received his B.A. in physics and mathematics from New York University and graduated from the Harvard Business School Program for Management Development.
