Kathleen Flaherty is a Research Assistant with the Kavli HUMAN Project who supports the Project's strategic operations, published materials, and coordinates activities across the Project's different departments on behalf of the Chief Scientist, Hannah Bayer. She works both as a Research Assistant of IISDM under Dr. Bayer and as a Lab Manager in the Center for Neural Science under Dr. Xiao-Jing Wang.
Her academic interests span the breadth of the human condition, particularly focused on treatment efficacy in clinical disorders, such as schizophrenia. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 2014 with a B.A. concentrating in clinical neuropsychology. In her time there, she assisted with fMRI research at NYU Langone Medical Center in the PTSD Research Program.
