Kevin Thom is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Economics Department at New York University. One his two main research areas deals with labor market behaviors in developing economies, where his work has focused on topics ranging from the dynamics of undocumented migration to the factors that promote the narcotics trade in Mexico. His second area of research centers on the intersection of biology and economics. Specifically, his ongoing work in this area explores how molecular genetic data can help us better understand heterogeneity in health behaviors such as smoking.
